Artifacts of Arrival

I created Artifacts of Arrival to preserve the stories of objects brought to the United States by immigrants. The digital catalogue combines 3D scans with the personal narratives behind each object. The project began with a silk handkerchief my father brought from China—an everyday object that carried his culture, traditions, and history. Inspired by that heirloom and a classroom debate about museum artifact repatriation, I wanted to make room for stories that often go untold.
